An early Victorian 18ct gold ruby and split pearl cluster ring.

Hallmarks for Glasgow, 1857. Ring size Q. 3.4gms.

<li>Surface scratches and minor marks.
<li>File marks to outside of the band, slight acid discolouration.
<li>Ring head with discolouration and marks to the reverse, possibly repaired/replacement.
<li>Engraved initials to inside of the band 'J.G.' slightly worn.
<li>Ruby is in a closed back setting, presumed foil back and appears a bright pinky red. Small nicks to edge of table facet, general slight abrasions.
<li>Split pearls appear fairly well matched, varied wear. One with internal fractures.
<li>Diameter of ring head 0.9cm.
