A late 19th century 18ct gold ruby and emerald crossover snakes ring.

Ruby calculated weight 0.36ct, based on estimated dimensions of 6 by 3.6 by 2.1mms.

Emerald calculated weight 0.51ct, based on estimated dimensions of 6.1 by 4.2 by 2.5mms.

<li>General marks and wear, moderately deep file marks to inside of band. Solder and pitting visible to inside of band where rings have been soldered together at a later date. Claws are slightly worn.

<li>Emerald is a medium bluish green hue, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>

<li>Ruby is a deep pinkish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.<p>


<li>Stones with minor abrasions and nibbling to facet edges, ruby with chips to crown facets.<p>
