Condition Report

Items all with general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.

Please note that the internal mechanisms and parts contained within the retractable pencil are not inspected and therefore not known if complete, damaged or inoperable.

Match case is testing around 80% Ag, cigarette case around 92% Ag and case to retractable pen around 18% Ag. Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.

Fellows does not guarantee the standard of silver, gold or platinum unless an item is hallmarked. Results from electronically tested items should only be used as a guide and with caution, as false readings are possible.

Shoe horn is dirty and worn, with some rough scratches to centre. Owl finial shows some polish residue but silver is shiny and bright.

Cigarette case shows some noticeable bashes and dents throughout, with a visible seam line to top.

Some deeper surface scratches to front of cigarette case, across bird motif.

Condition reports are offered as a guide only and we highly recommend inspecting any lot to satisfy yourself as to its condition.
