Full Lot Description
A George V silver mounted aide-memoire, of rounded rectangular purse form and suspended on a chain, with engraved foliate swags and scrolls and opening to a fitted interior with compartments and silver pencil, the case hallmarked Birmingham 1919, length 3.75" (9.5cm). Together with a foliate pierced-panel silver belt, hallmarked Samuel M Levi, Birmingham 1910, and three buttons all matching in design, two hallmarked Birmingham 1901, possibly Charles Horner, the other appears unmarked. <li>All pieces in the lot displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with their age and use.
<li>Hinges and clasp of aide-memoire appear in good working order and it closes securely; the hallmarks are a little rubbed but still clearly legible, although maker's mark is partly distorted.
<li>Belt with a couple of minor breaks in the piercing and likely repairs; each panel of the belt is hallmarked with part marks.
