A late 19th century brass bound and rosewood cased Frederic Potter marine chronometer, the detached upper hinged cover above a glazed hinged section, above a base fitted with a brass gimbal, the chronometer with silvered dial with black minute track, Roman numerals and hands subsidiary dials and detailed 'Frederic Potter, 5 Vincent Place, City Road, London No 1233'. Fixings to gimbal damaged and missing. Height of case 7.25" (18.5cm), width 6.75" (17cm). Ivory exemption registration number: U89JXM6Z
