An antique 19th century Napoleonic prisoner of war style ship model of a frigate, constructed from boxwood, metal, bone and ivory, the painted hull with 58 cannon, twin metal anchors and carved figure head to the bow, the stern gallery deck fitted with eight buckets and ships wheel flanked by two smaller boats, above the main and bow deck with central wooden boat, canons, capstan, other fittings and figures, all below the elaborate masts, rigging and painted flags, the whole mounted on a later mahogany rectangular plinth base, total overall size 89cm long, 25.5cm wide and 66cm high.
