A silver hip flask, probably Japanese, of typical rounded rectangular shape with removable lower section forming a cup, and ornately chased all over with bamboo shoots, the globular hinged lid with bayonet closure. Appears unmarked. Height 12cm, gross weight 8.97ozt (279g).

- Item shows general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing.
- Embossed decoration shows some notable compressions.
- Bulbous lid is very bashed, with some small nicks and dints.
- Twist action to lid is in working condition.
- Detachable cup attaches and detaches well.
- Silver to body is quite bright and shiny.
