Attributed to John James Hill R.B.A (1811-1882) - An oil on board of a young girl holding a child with mountainous landscape background, signed lower left J. J. Hill and dated 1864, image size 29cm x 24cm.

- Frame appears to be original.
- Frame has some chipping and losses.
- Partial Christie’s stencil to back, alongside chalk annotations and remnants of a paper label.
- Later typed attribution.
- Surface dirt behind glass
- Retains original purchase receipt from 1982 (Edwards, Bigwood & Bewlay)
- Has been removed from a cold / damp house
