A large early 20th century Sevres table casket or dressing table box, the slightly domed cover with a hand painted Watteau / Cupid inspired panel with an image of a lady holding a floral garland with two seated figures by her side, one holding a hat with two arrows in it, the other kneeling before her with a quiver of arrows beside, signed G. Rochelle in black, all upon a dark blue ground with gilt overlay, the base in matching blue with a landscape cartouche to the front within a gilt frame with gilt panels to the side and back, the interior opening to reveal sprays of pink roses, painted H.R Sevres S France in blue with red printed Chateau des Tuileries Manufacture Francaise mark, 39cm x 24.5cm
