A late 19th to early 20th century cased Indian portrait miniature possibly depicting Mumtaz Mahal, with a seated lady in regal attire, image size 6.3cm x 5.5cm, case 9.5cm x 8.5cm together with a portrait of a seated Rabari elder, image 9cm x 6.5cm, case 12cm x 9.5cm (2)

- **PLEASE NOTE, THIS WAS CATALOGUED AS A DAGUERREOTYPE. WE BELIEVE IT MAY BE AN AMBROTYPE. This has not been removed from the frame, as to confirm if on metal or glass, but there is no visual negative when turned.
- Portrait miniature has imperfections to the right side near the curtain, to the bottom near her hand and above her head
- Case has scuffs marks and wear
- Stains to the cream silk lining
- The cover is separate from the base.
- The leather outer to the case is tatty and torn, particularly to the spine
- Some foxing to the glass / image
- Some scratching to the glass
