From the BAMS website: "Summers studied jewellery and silversmithing at Loughborough College of Art and Design, and won the Royal Society of Arts medal bursary competition in 1988. The artist wrote of his BAMS medal: ‘This medal concerns man’s lust for knowledge and the possibility of the fruits of this desire being used for evil ends’."
