Lot Description

An early 20th century platinum and vari-cut diamond black velvet bow brooch, suspending vari-hue pearl drops.

Partial French mark.
Length 5.1cms. 15.5gms.
Pearls untested for natural origin.

Surface scratches and minor marks.
One of the ribbon drops unhooks near the top with ease, may benefit from attention.
Diamonds appear bright and well matched.
Estimated total single-cut diamond weight 0.15ct.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate total weight, colour and clarity assessment.
Pearls untested for natural origin.
Pearls appear a light grey with very strong varied overtones and a medium grey with light rose overtones.
Medium grey pearl with moderate ringing.
Approximate length 6 and 6.2mms.
Velvet shows slight wear/fading.
