Full Lot Description
United Kingdom, Elizabeth II Gold Plated Silver Railway Anniversary Stamp Replicas. The Danbury mint, 1975. 4 metal stamps, comprised of:
1. 7p stamp dated 1825 for the Stockton and Darlington Railway, celebrating Stephenson's Locomotion.
2. 8p stamp dated 1876 for the North British Railway Drummond celebrating Waverly Class.
3. 10p stamp dated 1923 for the Great Western Railway Castle Class celebrating the Caerphilly Castle.
4. 12p stamp dated 1975 for the British Rail Inter-City Service HST celebrating the High Speed Train.
All with silver hallmarks to reverse.
Accompanied by certificate stating this set was 4,191 of 5,000 issued.
