Full Lot Description
A collection of ten 19th century silver condiment spoons, George III and later, to include a set of four in Old English pattern with monogram engraved terminals, hallmarked Richard Turner, London 1813, and a provincial spoon in Fiddle pattern, by John Clarke or John Coakley (both Liverpool), hallmarked Chester 1832; plus two Victorian examples, hallmarks for London 1854 and 1871, etc. Weight 3.94ozt (122.7g). Condition Report
- Multiple item lot in mixed condition
- All displaying some expected surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing, commensurate with their age and general use.
- The bowls have generally faired quite well overall and retained their shape
- Two or three of the bowls do show some heavier surface wear and pitting type marks, one in particular
- One spoon has some heavier spots and patches of tarnishing
- Any gilding is faded, some traces remain
- Hallmarks are mostly clear and legible, rubbing to parts
