A foil-back garnet, split pearl, and hairwork mourning brooch, length 2.3cm, 3.4gm.

Condition Report
Brooch (4.1gm): with some surface scratches, minor surface abrasions, and surface discolouration.
Garnets appear medium red to pinkish-red, very well saturated, with some minor abrasions to facet edges and surface scratches, few with minor chips.
Marcasite appears fairly bright, some with surface abrasions.
Brooch (3.4gm): with some surface scratches, surfaced abrasions, moderate surface discolouration, surface pitting, and minor denting to the reverse.
Evidence for repair to the reverse, due to soft solder visible.
Garnets appear meidum to dark orangish-red to purplish-pink, well saturated, with some minor abrasions to facet edges, surface scratches, and few with chips. One with fracture and orange adhesive visible.
Split pearls with typical surface blemishes and moderate to significant nacre damage.
Glazed hairwork panel with some minor surface abrasions.
