A George III silver meat skewer, of typical tapering form with ring terminal. Hallmarked London 1794, maker's mark partly rubbed, probably George Smith (III) & William Fearn. Length 28cm, weight 2.3ozt (71.8g)

Condition Report
- Appears in a worn and tired state with some surface wear and damage
- Heavy tarnishing and blackening all over
- The pointed end of the skewer is slightly bent and the tip a little rounded
- Engraved name just below the ring terminal on one side, in cursive letters, possibly reads 'Wilson'
- Hallmarks located below the ring terminal on the other side; dirty and blackened punches and maker's mark and lion passant partly worn but all still legible
