A pair of George II silver open salts, each of plain cauldron shape and raised on three stepped hoof feet, lacking glass liners. Hallmarks heavily rubbed, probably Edward Wood, London 1744. Rim diameter 6cm, weight 3.82ozt (119g).

Condition Report
- Missing glass liners
- Both displaying some surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with age and general use
- Some minor nicks/dints
- Both with engraved stag head crest but significantly rubbed and only traces now visible
- A little blackening with some dirt/dried polish residues to some areas and crevices
- The interior of both salts are heavily blackened with dirt and other residues and some verdigris
- Hallmarks located to bases scattered on a group and heavily rubbed
