Full Lot Description
An Edwardian silver novelty pin cushion, modelled as a turtle. Hallmarked Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders & James Francis Hollings (Frank) Shepherd, Birmingham 1906. Length 5cm, gross weight 8.5g.

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use
- Some fairly heavy patches of tarnishing to the metal with blackening to some areas and crevices
- Visible seam along the centre of the turtle and a couple of little splits to rim around the cushion
- Some minor dints and nicks
- Some loss of surface detail on the head of the turtle
- Some slight bashes to the tips of some of the turtle's toes
- Likely the original cushion but now heavily worn, stained and threadbare in places, also loose in the mount
- Hallmarks located under the belly, a little rubbed in places but all still clearly legible
- Also stamped with registered number, a little rubbed but probably reads 469428
