Full Lot Description
George I Britannia standard silver mug, of slightly tapering form to a spread foot and scroll handle, with later floral decoration and presentation engraved cartouche. Hallmarked London 1719, probably Edmund Pearce. Height 11cm, weight 10.04ozt (312.4g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing, consistent with age and use
- Some surface nicks and slight knocks around the main rim and foot rim
- Some minor surface dints and nicks to the main body
- Visible solder around the join of the foot
- Some indentations visible inside from the joins of the handle, particularly the lower join
- Later floral decoration and cartouche with presentation engraving for the Brighton Central Fountain Committee on the opening of two Drinking Fountains, dated July 13th 1859; with some further name engravings on the other side of the mug
- Hallmarks located to base and scattered in a group, partly rubbed but all still legible
- Capacity is greater than a half pint but slightly less than a pint
