Full Lot Description
A Chinese export silver three piece bachelor tea set, comprising teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of oval form with engraved decoration depicting a bird amongst flowering branches and leafy bamboo, the teapot with inset flat hinged lid. Maker's mark to each base, possibly Jiang Ji (Canton & Shanghai, circa 1880-1900). Maximum length of teapot 22cm, height to lid finial 10.5cm, total gross weight 20.42ozt (635.2g).

Condition Report
- All three pieces displaying some general surface wear, marks and scratches
- With patches of heavier tarnishing and a little blackening and residues of dried polish to some areas and crevices
- Some heavier staining and dirt residues to interiors
- Some minor surface nicks and dints, including around edges
- Some likely seam repairs to all three pieces
- Cream jug with blob of solder visible to one side around the top join of the handle
- Teapot with further likely seam repairs to spout - to the underside and also around the tip; hinged lid with slight movement but closes securely
- Maker's marks located to each base, these rubbed in parts
