A George II silver pepper/spice or pounce pot, of cylindrical form with detachable pierced bun shape cover. Hallmarked Samuel Herbert, London 1749 (lid not marked). Height 6.5cm, weight 1.35ozt (42.2g).

Condition Report
- In fairly tired and dirty overall condition
- With some heavy tarnishing, blackening, and residues of dried polish
- Surface marks and scratches and visible seams
- Some possible solder repairs
- Slight bash around base rim
- Hallmarks located to base, a little rubbed but still legible
- Lid is a good fit, it is not marked but testing around 92% to 93% Ag
