Full Lot Description
A George V silver christening mug, of tapering cylindrical form to a skirted base, with double scroll handle. Hallmarked A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham, date letter partly worn, possibly 1914 or 1916. Height 8cm, weight 3.34ozt (104g).

Condition Report
- Displaying some general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use
- Heavier tarnishing and a little blackening to some areas and crevices
- Rim appears slightly misshapen
- With some minor surface dints and bumps, and a more notable dint to one side of the lower handle join
- Floods of solder seen around both joins of the handle, suggesting possible repairs
- An impression from the upper join can be seen inside the mug
- Handle with some dints and loss of definition, and surface a little uneven and lumpy in some areas
- Seam line visible to the interior, around the lower section of the body
- Several nicks around the inner edge of the foot rim
- Hallmarks located below the rim to one side of the handle, heavily rubbed in places especially date letter and maker's mark
