A modern silver tea strainer with shell rest and baluster wood handle, hallmarked Alan M Weisrose, London 1977, length 18cm; together with a pair of Victorian silver sugar tongs with shell detail, hallmarked Thomas Bradbury & Sons, London 1881, and various silver spoons to include a William IV caddy spoon, hallmarked Joseph Willmore, Birmingham 1835, an Edwardian shell bowl sifter spoon with foliate pierced terminal, hallmarked J Sherwood & Sons, Birmingham 1907, plus four condiment spoons comprising George III and Victorian Fiddle pattern examples, a plain Scottish silver spoon and a modern King's pattern example. Condition Report
- Multiple item lot in mixed condition, all pieces displaying some general surface wear, tarnishing, marks and scratches, commensurate with their age and use
- Tea strainer bowl appears in good overall condition, however wood handle is loose and can be easily removed, showing that it is a little damaged at the top
- With heavier damage to some pieces including:
- visible repair to the sugar tongs
- rim split to the bowl of the caddy spoon, to one side of the handle join
- Hallmarks to all pieces are mostly clear and legible, those on the Scottish spoon are partly obscured with dirt/polish residues
