A 19th century gold turquoise and garnet quatrefoil cluster brooch, with swag and bead highlights.
Length 5.6cms. 10.7gms.

Condition Report
<li>Later brooch fittings. Presumed converted. Discolouration near one of the clusters.
<li>Varied scratches, small marks and discolouration.
<li>Turquoise appear a slightly mottled greenish blue. Slight matrix visible.
<li>Garnet are presumed foil back and appear a deep red and slightly purplish red.
<li>One garnet with significant chip, one with shallow chips at the girdle.
<li>Electronically tests as approximately 14-15ct gold.
<li>Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
