Full Lot Description
A pair of parcel-gilt silver St Paul's Cathedral Royal Wedding goblets, designed to commemorate the wedding of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, each with circular tapering bowl having gilded interior, within gilt stem surround modelled as three winged heraldic beasts, Dragon, Griffin and Phoenix, each supporting a crested shield, and raised on a spread circular foot with floral chased panels. Hallmarked Hector Miller for Aurum, London 1981, limited edition nos. 443 and 445 of 1,000. Height 16.7cm, total weight 24.59ozt (765g).

- Engraved to base, 'LIMITED EDITION OF 1,000 MADE BY ORDER OF THE DEAN AND CHAPTER OF ST PAUL'S TO COMMEMORATE THE WEDDING OF HRH THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE LADY DIANA SPENCER ON 29 JULY 1981'
- Both goblets appear in fairly good overall condition, displaying some general light surface wear, marks and scratches
- Some general light tarnishing with a little blackening and residues of dried polish to some areas and crevices, mainly seen in the decoration of the beasts and the chased flowers of the foot
- Some minor surface nicks, including around edges
- Looks to be a small repaired split to the wing of the Griffin
- Hallmarks located to base, both date letters rubbed but still legible; and further stamped AURUM
