We are delighted to announce the appointment of Nicholas Challinor Halford as our new Operations Director. Nicholas joins the business after building a career in auction administration.

Joining Fellows at an exciting time in the modern world of technology and innovation, Nicholas said:

“I am delighted and immensely proud to be appointed Operations Director at Fellows Auctioneers.

“Fellows is one of the most established, historic, and forward-thinking auction houses in the UK with determined staff who continue to push the boat out, ensuring successful auctions.

“I am eager to get stuck in and work alongside our brilliant staff, customers and stakeholders to build on the work of my predecessor, Ben Griffiths."

Ben Griffiths joined Fellows in 2011 and oversaw drastic changes, including the introduction of internet bidding, timed auctions and the revolution of the digital age.

Nicholas joins as we pursue a strong growth plan. Weekly Jewellery auctions (established in the latter months of 2021) have increased to two-day events. More auctions are planned per year in 2022 than ever before in our history. Our focus on customer satisfaction will be spearheaded by the new Operations Director who will bring his years of customer service experience to the project.

Stephen Whittaker, Managing Director of Fellows Auctioneers, said:

“Nicholas joins us at an exciting time and we look forward to working with him to continue to improve the offering we provide both to our buyers and our vendors which has allowed us to achieve an “Excellent” rating on Trustpilot. We already have an exciting auction calendar for the year and Nicholas will bring added value to the business.”
