Condition Report

CHARLES ROBERT ASHBEE - an Arts and Crafts ceramic, enamel and opal pendant. The organic design of four shaped ceramic panels with green and blue enamel decoration and further outer wirework detail, to the central claw-set oval opal cabochon. One ceramic panel chipped. With later added brooch pin and brooch fittings. Length 5cms. Weight 13.9gms. Ashbee founded one of the original Guilds of Handicraft.

Purchasing information
    Overall good to fair condition. With moderate surface scratches and moderate to heavy tarnishing. The lower left ceramic panel has a noticeable chip across it. There are two fine hairline cracks to the base of the opal. The base metal brooch pin and fittings have been later added to the reverse. Condition reports are provided as a guide only and we recommend you inspect each lot in order to satisfy yourself as to their condition.
