Antique & Modern Jewellery Auction Results - The Edit

Today's auction saw incredible results for items previously owned by Princess Margaret and also designer pieces performed especially well.

The auction featured three pieces of jewellery formerly owned by Princess Margaret.  Lot 99 is an incredibly elegant Cartier Art Deco platinum diamond wristwatch, with a typically 1920s hexagonal-shape case and sold for £12,000. Lot 100 was worn by Princess Margaret as she greeted The Beatles at the premiere of their new film ‘Help’, on the 29th July 1965, this sold for £24,000. The third piece is an exquisite Belle Epoque platinum and 18ct gold, diamond and ruby cluster ring (lot 101). This ring was originally gifted to Mary of Teck, wife of George V and grandmother to Princess Margaret, who eventually inherited this sparkling piece and sold for £16,000.
