Condition Report

A late Victorian gold sapphire and diamond hinged bangle. Of geometric design, the cushion-shape sapphire line, with pierced kite-shape surrounds and old-cut diamond spacers. Estimated total diamond weight 1.40cts. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Weight 20.5gms.

  • Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches/wear and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with few minor inclusions under 10x magnification.
  • Sapphires are a well matched deep blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
