An early 20th century silver gem-set ring, with replacement Georgian gold band.

Condition Report

An early 20th century silver gem-set ring. Of openwork design, the pear-shape pink tourmaline collet, with ruby, marcasite and green gem foliate surround, to the replacement Georgian scrolling band. Approximate ring size L. Weight 2.3gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Ring head appears to be early 20th century, later fitted to a Georgian band.
  • One of the smaller rubies and some of the marcasite stones are deficient.
  • Solder visible to the shoulders.
  • Band slightly out of shape.
  • Stones generally in good to fair condition with minor abrasions, one of the rubies is chipped.

  • Length of ring head 2.1cms.
