Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Explorer bracelet watch. Circa 1972. Stainless steel case. Reference 1016, serial 2962765. Signed automatic calibre 1570. Black dial with luminous baton hour markers, luminous Arabic numeral three, six and nine. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp. 36mm.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Dial appears to be in an average condition with some light marks and scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe. The dial may be a replacement and the luminous markers have discoloured.
  • Hands appear to be in a generally good condition. Hands appear to be service hands.
  • Glass has scratches and marks.
  • Case appears to be in good condition with minor scratches and marks. Appears to have been polished.
  • Crown screws down and has light scratches when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Bracelet has light scratches and some signs of light stretching to links. Appears to have been polished.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows light scratches and marks. Appears to have been polished and the coronet has lost definition.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 18cm including case.

    This lot comes with an incomplete box with general wear but no papers.
