A mid-Victorian silver salver.

Condition Report

A mid-Victorian silver salver, the circular form with shaped shell and scroll rim enclosing a wide engraved border of flowers and foliate scrolls and raised on four splay feet with further scroll detail. Hallmarked Daniel & Charles Houle, London 1855. Maximum diameter 14" (35.5cm), weight 35.71 ozt (1110.6 grams).

Purchasing information
    Heavy tarnishing throughout and would benefit from a clean and polish. Displaying general surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Several larger and deeper scratched marks visible to the plain centre and a couple of slight dints. Small repair likely to the centre as there is a lighter dot visible with a slightly larger oval patch in the same place verso surrounded by some heavier incised marks. Further heavier scratches and pitting marks to the underside. Very slight wobble. Hallmarks clear and legible with light rubbing.
