Full Lot Description
A large and impressive boardroom or ship builders model of the suction dredger “M.V. Bowprince” built by the “Ailsa Shipbuilding Co Ltd, Troon and Ayr, Scotland 1964”, owners “East Coast Aggregates Ltd”, the hull finished in red, khaki green and black, with copper propeller, simulated wood and red painted decks, aggregate or sand storage tank, painted metal fittings, masts and rigging with black painted suction hopper to the side, the whole mounted on its original wooden walk around table stand, with plaque, overall total size, 191.5cm long, 52cm wide and 143cm high.
<li>Built in 1964 by Ailsa Shipbuilding Co Ltd, “M.V. Bowprince” was one of the sister ships to the ill-fated “M.V Bowbelle” which was involved in the Marchioness disaster of 1989.<p>
