An oval memorial French jet brooch comprising an oval reverse intaglio depicting a central urn above a tomb with a mourning figure to the right and weeping willow tree in the background, surrounded by raised foliate detail and bordered by eight carved French jet panels. Width - 35mm Height - 40mm. AF.

Condition Report
The brooch is in overall good condition commensurate with age and use showing evidence of scratches, marks and tarnishing to the whole. The central reverse intaglio picture remains clear and crisp with some bleeding and is secure although slightly loose in the setting. The French jet panels are slightly abraised and worn along the edges. The enameled backing is showing evidence of wear but is secure. The brooch fitting no longer has a loop catch.
