Lot Description

A nineteenth century silver cream jug, with embossed floral decoration to the main body, scroll and foliate bordered cartouche to the front of the jug enclosing an engraved monogram, scroll and shell spout leading to a gilt interior, raised on a circular base, with shaped handle depicting a snake coiled around foliage. The hallmark is rubbed but the Edinburgh thistle is visible, the makers mark is possibly Mackay Cunningham & Co.. Height measures 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm), weighing 6.45 ozt (200.7 grams).
