Lot Description

A 9ct rose gold manual wind gentleman's wrist watch head by J W Benson, the white enamel dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, red to twelve o'clock, subsidiary seconds to six o'clock all surrounded by an outer minute track, round case with integral lugs import hallmarked London 1926, numbered 4312498, sixteen jewel movement signed Longines with Swiss lever escapement. Case diameter approximately 34mm.

Movement is currently functioning but is dirty and would benefit from an overhaul, the case shows signs of wear commensurate with material with light scratches, marks and tarnishing, the majority of which look to be superficial and should polish out. The joins of the case middle and bezel are becoming apparent. Button is tarnished. Glass possesses a variety of scuffs and light scratches, dial has what appears to be a hairline crack between eight and ten o'clock, hands are lightly tarnished.
