Lot 29

Lot Description

A cased set of six late Victorian silver napkin rings, each of concave shape and with continuous bright cut engraved foliate decoration (case af).  Hallmarked Birmingham 1885, maker's mark R&M.  Gross weight 2.07 ozt (64.3 grams).

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

All napkin rings have general surface wear, marks and scratches in keeping with their age.

There is some tarnishing and it is possible to see the solder join on each.  The bright cut engraving is a little rubbed but otherwise in fairly good condition.  The hallmarks and maker's mark are also rubbed but they are all still legible.

The case is in poor condition and part of the front has fallen off completely so that it doesn't close properly.
