Lot Description
Pair of Victorian silver candlesticks, each raised above oval bases with fluted detail leading to shaped tapered stems with bow and swag and reeded decorations, urn shaped sockets conforming in design and detachable nozzles. Hallmarked John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater London 1894. Height measuring 11 1/2 inches (29 cm). (S/D).

Condition Report
The pair of Victorian silver candlesticks display some noticeable wear and tear with general scratches, marks and tarnishing. There is discolouration and would benefit from a clean and polish. Numerous dents and bumps around the base, top rim and nozzles. One socket sits noticeable uneven and one nozzles also with splits and repairs to the silver. The material to the underside has worn. The hallmarks rubbed, but legible, the makers marks very rubbed and part illegible.
