Lot 694

Lot Description

Two late 19th/early 20th century brooches, one set with amethysts and engraved scrolling decoration with a vacant panel to the reverse, and a further brooch centrally depicting a flower set with split pearls (one split pearl deficient), diameter 2.6cms. Total weight 15.9gms.

Postage: Auction Default

Weight: No

Total lot weight: No

Overall fair to good condition, with minor surface scratches and nicks to both. Both would benefit from a clean.

To the amethyst brooch there are small chips and minor abrasion to the amethysts and they aren't that well matched. There are gaps along the solder edge, there are some deeper scratches to the reverse of the brooch, the pin is slightly bent and there is debris below the reverse panel.

The split pearl brooch has areas of rose coloured gold, it is stamped 9ct and there is one split pearl missing.
