George III set six Old English  silver teaspoons hallmarked Samuel Godbehere & Edward Wigan (over stamped Bateman) London 1798. Gross weight 2.7 ozt (78 grams).

The teaspoons overall are in good/fair condition for the age and display general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Wear and thinning visible to the bowls. The definition of the heel has rubbed. No visible engravings. A few minor dints to the bowls. The hall marks are clear and legible, the over stamped maker's mark is visible to nearly all the spoons, at this period it is likely to have been Peter & Ann Bateman.
