The cigarette case displays general wear, surface scratches and marks commensurate with the age and use.  Some of the scratches  are deeper and more visible to both the front and reverse.  There is a small visible dint to one side of the engraved initials.  There is a little bit of wear to the edges and corners and some small dark marks.  The hinge and clasp are in working order, although there is a very slight gap when closed.  There are some surface marks and scratches to the gold coloured interior, which also bears a personal inscription and date.  Hallmarks to interior are slightly rubbed but still clear and legible.
