Lot Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold diamond mourning ring, circa 1899. The old European-cut diamond flanked by imitation split pearls to the black enamel "In Memory Of" band. Estimated diamond weight 0.15ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham. Contemporary inscription to band. Weight 4.3gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in fair overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. There are numerous small chips to the black enamel band with some areas of small losses. The split imitation pearls are later replacements and have glue visible to the sides. The diamond appears bright, estimated colour K-L, clarity SI with small, scattered inclusions. The diamond mount has some deep scratches/nicks. The makers mark has been rubbed. The personal inscription reads "Edgar April 12th, 1901" Ring size L 1/2.
