Lot Description

A late Victorian 15ct gold mourning ring, circa 1896, the split seed pearl cross within a black enamel shield flanked by split seed pearls. Personal inscription engraved to inside of band. Hallmarks for Chester 1896. Ring size M. Weight 3.5gms. Pearls untested.

The lot is in good overall condition with scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The split seed pearls appear well matched with light surface scratches. There are shallow nicks and surface scratches to the black enamel. The personal inscription reads "Dear Mother & Father E.H. & A. Carton 1895."
