Lot Description

A 10C gold key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial with black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, ornately engraved case with vacant cartouche, three quarter plate movement with club tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 40mm. Total weight 53gms.

Open face pocket watch, key wind movement is currently functioning, movement is filthy and evidence of dried oil is apparent in the oil sinks, dial has a hairline crack that runs from twelve o'clock to the top of the subsidiary seconds dial, all hands are present but are tarnished with heavy wear to the blued finish, glass is scratched to centre and the edges are lightly chipped, case is rubbed with scratches, marks and tarnishing as a result of general wear, hinges appear free of excessive play, cuvette is dented. Pendant has broken off and is missing.
