Lot Description

A Victorian 18ct gold key wind open face pocket watch, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, sunken subsidiary seconds dial to six o'clock, outer minute track, worn round case with milled band and engine turned design to the rear with vacant cartouche, hallmarked possibly Chester 1856, fitted with a full plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case diameter 49mm. Total weight 105gms.

18ct pocket watch, the key wind fusee movement is currently not functioning, dial has a chip on the outside at the 2 o'clock position,

hands are slightly tainted, glass is chipped mostly around the centre, case back is highly rubbed with several dents, appear that the click does not engage correctly therefore unable to check if power runs through the train, balance appears to be in acceptable condition with the hair spring seeming true.
