Lot Description

A Victorian silver key wind open face pocket watch, the white dial with hourly applied black Roman numerals, bordered by a minute track, subsidiary seconds dial positioned to six o'clock, round case with milled band, engine turned decoration and vacant cartouche to rear, hallmarked London 1876, fitted with full plate movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. Case width 54mm. Together with a smaller silver full hunter pocket watch.

Pair of silver pocket watches, open face pocket watch, movement is currently not functioning, dial has many light surface scratches and marks, there is a crack running through the length of the dial, there are some patches of discolouration to the dial, hands have light surface scratches and some slight discolouration, seconds hand in subsidiary dial is missing, case has many surface scratches and scuffs which are consistent with use, design to case back is rubbed to the edges, bow is loose within pendant.

Silver full hunter pocket watch dial has many small marks to the centre of the dial, dial has light cracks running through the dial, hands are discoloured and marked, case is scratched and scuffed from use and metal is heavily tarnished. Both watches would benefit from a clean.
