Lot 137

Lot Description

A Victorian locket circa 1880, the circular-shape locket with central engraved initials and textured surround together with a split pearl and diamond cluster ring, the cluster to the associated scroll design band. Head of ring loose. Length of locket 4.5cms.

Overall in fair condition. The locket is in good condition, with minor surface scratches and dents along the edge consistent with general wear. There is a crack in the back, however, where the pressure has forced the metal to warp when closing, which is disguised by the textured design. The ring shows significant deterioration where the head has become detached. There are surface scratches to the outside of the ring and split pearls consistent with wear.
