Lot Description
Late Victorian silver mounted glass condiment jar of squat form, the reeded silver collar and flat hinged cover hallmarked William Hutton & Sons, London 1885; together with a larger glass globular preserve jar with detachable silver cover, hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1927. Height of smallest 2 3/4 inches (7cm), height of largest 3 1/4 inches (8.5cm). (2).

Condition Report
General wear and surface marks and scratches to both jars. Various edge nicks and small chips to the glass and some more visible scratches, mainly to the underside of both and especially the underside of the larger jar. Silver collar and hinged lid on smaller jar in fairly good condition and hallmarks are clear and legible. Detachable silver cover to larger jar is quite tarnished but hallmarks are clear and legible.
