Lot Description

Late Victorian silver heart shape bonbon dish, decorated with pierced motifs and embossed with foliate scrolls and swags, and standing on three ball feet, hallmarked Colen Hewer Cheshire, Chester 1895;  together with a circular bonbon dish, hallmarked CAC, Birmingham 1901, and a larger bonbon dish, hallmarked Joseph Gloster Ltd., Birmingham 1902, both with similar embossing and pierced motifs.  Combined weight 2.57 ozt (80 grams). Each dish displays general wear and surface marks scratches.  There is also some tarnishing and spots of tarnishing, especially to the circular dish and larger bonbon dish.  There are some deeper scratches in places and various minor nicks and dints in the metal, especially to the heart dish and circular dish as the metal is thinner.  The dints are mainly on the rims of the dishes.  On the heart dish, it is possible to see an impression of one of the feet on the interior of the dish.  All hallmarks are clear and legible.
