Lot Description

An Edwardian silver presentation bonbon dish, the quatrefoil lobed dish, raised on four scrolling feet, with crossed reed rim and later presentation inscription. Hallmarked Sibray, Hall & Co, London, 1907. Maximum length 6 1/8 inches (15.5 cm), weight 4.2 ozt (130.7 grams).

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches and small dents in keeping with general wear. The piece has light yellowish tarnish and minor pitting to the reverse of the bowl. The hallmarks are clear and there is an additional ship stamp to the back of the bowl. The presentation inscription refers to a Mrs J. Llewellyn, organist of the Gilfach Goch parish, April 25th 1945.
